Packing List for Umrah

This article is all about things that are necessary to pack when you are leaving for Umrah, those things are listed in this article which are necessary to be carried by pilgrim. Following is a detailed check list to help pilgrims in packing important items their pilgrimage. You may need some other things so you can add or remove. It is advisable to prepare a list of items that you are going to need there and this preparation will help in saving your time, so at last moment, before leaving for minor pilgrimage you do not forget to pack any thing which is necessary to carry. Here is the list of items;

1. Ihram (better to pack 2 or 3 extra Ihram)

2. Towel (Bring small handy towels which is easy to carry and will be helpful in drying sweat, as we all know that the weather of Saudi is scorching)

3. Pair of flip flop sandal (pack sandals which are to wear while in the state of Ihram and casual sleepers for general use)

4. An Umbrella ( to protect yourself fro the burning sun waves)

5. Shampoo, lotion and Soap (make sure that these must be fragrance free)

6. Pack your tooth brush and tooth paste (highly advisable to use Miswak instead of tooth brush and paste)

7. Try to pack tissues, and bring some in your hand bag

8. Pack some food item to eat in free time like biscuits, toffees, snacks and other easily carry dry food items

9. don’t forget to pack prayer (buy travelling prayer mat this will not take much space in luggage but it will be helpful when you in Makkah)

10. Bring necessary and basic Medicines for flue, cough, headache, allergy and painkiller, or any other you consider necessary.

11. Face wash and Detergent for cloths (must be fragrance free)

12. Small Scissors and nail cutter

13. Pack 2 Extra travelling bags in your luggage, you will realize the use for these extra bags you will be on your way back to home and bought gifts and other things.

14. Pack small size and light weight Travelling Iron

* Make sure that you have taken all the necessary documents for your sacred journey before you leave for Umrah like:

* Your Identity Card (NIC)

* Passport

* Flight Ticket

* Vaccination certificate

* Try to make 2, 3 Xerox of all the important documents and leave one copy of bundle of documents to someone whom you trust like, relative or any other family member and pack an extra copy of documents in you luggage so in case if any document misplaces you will have the copy of that.
